Terms of Use
Effective date: August 19, 2026
Please read these terms before using SignalSeek (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to them.
1. License
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the App on Apple devices that you own or control. You may not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, rent, lease, resell, or sublicense the App.
2. Personal and purchases
The App is free to download. Scanning, heatmaps, and whole-home views are free to use. Paid plans are:
- Personal (one-time purchase, lifetime): pay once, unlocked permanently, no further charges. It covers report export, history comparison, unlimited projects, and iCloud sync (the personal library uses end-to-end encryption by default, which can be turned off).
- Team (annual subscription): includes everything in Personal, plus a shared team library, white-label reports, batch actions, project templates, and naming vocabularies. It comes in three sizes (3 / 10 / 30 seats). A single subscription bought by the person who creates the team covers the entire team; members who join do not pay separately. Seats include the creator and are shared across all teams under the same subscriber (a member who joins several such teams takes only one seat). Every member on a team's roster takes a seat, including members who have not synced for a long time; the team owner may remove members to free seats. Members beyond the seat count can still view and re-scan projects but do not receive any of the paid features listed above (neither the team features nor the Personal ones). The subscription renews annually unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your Apple ID account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings. Upgrades and downgrades between sizes are prorated by Apple. When a subscription lapses or is canceled, the team stops syncing and the team features stop being provided — every project, scan and report already on each member's device remains intact, as do the brand settings and templates you entered, and everything returns if you resubscribe. A team owner may transfer that role or step down; when a team has no owner, any member may take over, and whoever does becomes responsible for that team's subscription.
All transactions are processed by Apple and subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are granted by Apple at its discretion under its policies; we cannot issue refunds on Apple's behalf. Prices are those shown in the App Store, may vary by region, and may change. The App Store offers no credit for earlier purchases, so upgrading from Personal to Team is billed at the full subscription price.
3. Important notice about measurements
Measurements produced by the App are indicative references, not a professional wireless site survey. In particular:
- Results are affected by device model, antenna orientation, how you hold the phone, your body blocking the signal, time of day, neighboring interference, and your carrier's network conditions. The same location can measure differently at different times.
- Floor plan detection and wall inference depend on your device's camera and sensors and may be inaccurate. They must not be used as a basis for architectural, construction, or surveying work.
- Speed test results depend on third-party test endpoints and the path to them. They do not represent the bandwidth contracted with your internet provider.
- Recommendations in reports are general suggestions derived from the measurements. They are not professional engineering advice tailored to your specific environment.
You are responsible for deciding whether to act on the App's results when purchasing equipment, changing your network, or making other decisions, and we are not liable for the consequences of those decisions. For important or costly decisions, consult a qualified professional.
4. Your responsibilities
You must use the App only on networks you are authorized to test, and you must comply with the laws of your location regarding network use, privacy, and image capture. When scanning spaces that include other people or private areas, obtaining any necessary consent is your responsibility.
If you survey sites for others as a service provider (installer, IT contractor, property manager), obtaining the site owner's consent is your responsibility, as is the content of the reports you deliver to your clients.
5. Team libraries and the storage you choose
Team features do not run on our servers. A team library lives on storage you choose: your own WebDAV server, your NAS, or an iCloud shared folder. Therefore:
- You control that storage, and you are responsible for it. Its availability, access control, backups, encryption, and regulatory compliance (including data-protection law where you operate) are yours to manage. We neither provide nor operate it, make no warranty about it, and cannot access its contents.
- Member visibility. Projects, reports, brand settings, templates, and naming vocabularies synced into a team library — along with the member roster (display names, personal identifiers, roles) — are visible to every member of that library. Before inviting someone, make sure this is consistent with your obligations to your clients or employer.
- Roles and deletion rules are as implemented in the App (owner-held personnel controls, creators being able to delete projects they created, leaving and hand-over mechanics). These operate at the file level; we cannot restore content that a member has deleted.
- Third-party services (Synology, Nextcloud, Apple iCloud, and the like) are governed by your agreement with those providers, not by us.
6. Your data
The App has no accounts, and scan data is stored locally on your device. With sync enabled, data goes only to the destination you chose. Sync is not backup: deleting in one place deletes everywhere. Backing up and safeguarding your data is your responsibility — a lost, damaged, or reset device, an accidental deletion, uninstalling the App, or a failure of the storage you chose can make data unrecoverable, and we cannot retrieve it. See the Privacy Policy for details.
7. Intellectual property
All rights in the App, including its interface, icons, documentation, and algorithms, remain with the developer. Scan data and reports you generate with the App belong to you.
When using white-label reports, you warrant that you hold the rights to the company name and logo you supply, and you bear any third-party claims arising from that material.
8. Disclaimer and limitation of liability
The App is provided "as is," without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that measurements will be accurate.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to the amount you actually paid for the App.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of implied warranties or the limitation of liability, so these limits may not apply to you.
9. Changes and termination
We may update or modify the App's features, or discontinue it. This license terminates automatically if you breach these terms. One-time purchases already made remain valid for as long as the App is available.
10. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we will update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be surfaced in the App. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance.
